The situation decided to clarify the publication sb.by. It is unlikely that this might happen on Yelnya.

We’ll figure out. For now, I will note: in general, this phenomenon is not typical for our raised bogs. Usually the islands come off together with the raft (that is, part of the peat deposit, in which the roots of the trees are fixed) – that is, this situation is more common for lowland swamps, – explained Ivan Borok, director of the Yelnya Republican Landscape Reserve.
This year, water rise is recorded in Belarus. Because of this, all excursions to Yelnya were canceled in April.
