Al-Marsad newspaper: The British Metropolitan Police announced today, Wednesday, that: On opening an investigation into an alleged case of paying the Prince Charles Charitable Foundation in exchange for honoring a prominent Saudi businessman.

The police said, in a press statement: “The investigation began following allegations that “offers of assistance were made to secure honors and citizenship for a Saudi citizen,” according to CNN.

She added, “The decision comes in the wake of an evaluation of a letter in September 2021, related to media reports alleging offers of assistance to secure honors and citizenship for a Saudi citizen.”

The British newspaper, “Sunday Times”, claimed in an investigation published last year that the former CEO of the Charles Charitable Society, Michael Fawcett, helped to nominate Saudi businessman Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz to obtain the Order of the British Empire.
