The manager of a convenience store, located in Houthalen-Helchteren (Limburg), is suspected of having stabbed an intruder to death on the night of Friday to Saturday, confirmed the mayor of the town. The 48-year-old suspect was apprehended and taken to the police station. Saturday, around 1:30 a.m., an individual entered a store in Houthalen-Helchteren. The manager then caught the intruder in the act and an altercation ensued. The manager of the convenience store is suspected of having stabbed the individual to death during the argument. The prosecution requested the opening of a judicial inquiry and the owner of the store was apprehended by the local police. The case is now under the responsibility of an investigating judge.
