The Deputy Regional Governor of Western Greece, Charalambo Bonannowas visited in his office, today Tuesday, September 10, 2024, by a delegation from the city of Santa Barbara, California, USA, which maintains twinning with our region.
During the formal meeting, issues related to twinning and its development were discussed, through actions aimed at strengthening the relations between the two regions and developing partnerships in the fields of education, tourism and entrepreneurship. At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged symbolic gifts from the two regions.
It is noted that thanks to twinning and through the relevant organization, the Greek community of Santa Barbara has provided significant financial assistance to the Children’s Hospital of Patras “Karamandanio”, which the delegation will also visit.
