Skullzi, an insider who seems to have specialized in Bethesda games for the past few years, has released some information regarding The Elder Scrolls 6 and other titles in development at Bethesda. All this should be taken with a grain of salt, the insider himself claims that these are things that he “heard”, but “did not make sure” personally. But it appears that this insider has industry connections as some of his rumors have been confirmed in the past, while others are yet to be confirmed.
First of all, as for The Elder Scrolls 6, according to an insider, it is in active development, although not yet at an advanced stage, and its release may take place between 2025 and 2026. The action of the new chapter will take place in Hammerfell – a place characterized, in addition, by a complex simulated “political system”.
In The Elder Scrolls 6, various elements such as betrayals, marriages, and factions will make a big difference in the game world, Skullzi says, but there doesn’t seem to be room for dragons that won’t appear in the new chapter.
An insider confirms that the Bethesda Game Studios teams in Austin and Montreal are working on Spyteam, the codename that has previously appeared for the mysterious game in development. Roundhouse is said to be working on a PvPvE game that “might surprise us” while Zenimax Online is working on the MMO Starfield.
Other rumors include a “discussed” Quake reboot, as well as remasters of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout in development at InXile. A 4X strategy game set in The Elder Scrolls universe will also be released, and finally, it looks like Xbox is handing over a lot of resources to Bethesda to support the company in all of its current projects.
