In September, the SsangYong Torres will arrive at European dealerships. Initially, it will be available with this gasoline engine, but an electric block will be offered in 2024, to complete the Korando e-Motion range.
The new Torres will be 4.71 meters long, positioning it between the Korando and the Rexton. This will make it the ideal model for family trips, especially over long distances on the motorway. Its trunk has 838 liters of cargo space.
The first engine offered for the new SsangYong Torres will be the famous 1.5 T-GDI developing 163 hp. It will be available with a six-speed manual transmission. As an option, it will be possible to opt for all-wheel drive, automatic gearbox and factory LPG.
It is worth pointing out that all versions of the SsangYong Torres are very richly equipped as standard, including optics with LED technology, pre-collision warning, automatic city braking, rear camera, parking sensors and a hill start system.
In addition, the dual-zone automatic air conditioning system with an 8-inch digital screen, digital instrumentation, multimedia system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB, cruise control with limiter, heated mirrors and at least 17-inch alloy wheels will also be included as standard.
In the high-end versions, you will also find leather upholstery, alloy wheels up to 20 inches, blind spot detector, automatic gate, electric and ventilated seats, keyless access and start, adaptive cruise control, heated steering wheel, induction mobile phone charger, and many other features.
SsangYong Torres prices range between 26,900,000 and 30,400,000 Korean Won (approximately €19,915 to €22,500). In France, the Torres can be ordered from July 15. The first units are expected from September. Like all SsangYong models, it has an official five-year warranty. Being the most balanced model of the brand, the SsangYong Torres embodies a real alternative to the future Duster and Bigster, although its price remains relatively high, nevertheless the list of standard equipment makes this SUV a very wise choice.
