Al-Marsad newspaper: The Saudi embassy in Georgia has warned of cases of theft that tourists are exposed to in some areas, and has warned Saudi nationals there to avoid going out with “valuable items”.
The embassy said, through its account on Twitter, that it had noticed that “some tourists in the city of Tbilisi, in the center of the country, in Marjan Shavili Street, and in Batumi City Square, were repeatedly and professionally robbed by children for begging.”
She added that, in order to avoid falling into such cases, “the embassy warned those coming to Georgia to “avoid going out with valuables”, “watches – jewelry”, and not to carry large sums of money, and to stay away from suspicious places and avoid communicating with strangers.
