An F-150 stolen in Trois-Rivières found… in Cameroon

The vehicle of a retired policeman stolen in 2021 in Trois-Rivières, Mauricie, was found in Cameroon.

An employee of the Trois-Rivières dealership where Michel Letarte bought the Ford F-150 in question spoke on the phone with Cameroonian police.

They wanted to confirm that the vehicle had indeed been purchased from them.

The retired police officer was surprised to learn that his stolen vehicle had been found.

“I contacted the insurance company and they too smiled, but they will take the necessary steps. They are in contact with the police department concerned and there, they will take the steps to find out whether they are going to recover the vehicle to bring it back here or will it be sold there for a any seizure and they will benefit from it, that’s where it belongs to them, ”explains Michel Letarte to TVA Nouvelles.

As this is an international case, Interpol was involved in the case.
