An explosion near a private school in Peshawar, 4 people including children were injured

4 people including children were injured due to an explosion in front of a private school in Warsak Babu Garhi in Peshawar. After the explosion, the police and other law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area while teams from Rescue One One Two Two and other relief and welfare organizations reached the spot.

The police and rescue personnel have shifted the injured children to the hospital for treatment, while the nature of the explosion is being ascertained. According to eyewitnesses, the glass of the nearby building was broken.
According to the police, the three persons who were injured sell chips on Versik Road and all the three persons belong to the same family.

Talking to the media, SP Varsik Muhammad Arshad Khan said that the unfortunate incident took place at 9:10 a.m. More details will be shared on the BDU report regarding the nature of the explosion.

He said that it was an ID blast and 4 kg explosives were used in the blast. It would be premature to say who was the target in the blast.

Mayor Metropolitan Zubair Ali said that there are educational institutions on Versik Road and it is an important highway, the traffic of law enforcement agencies also takes this route. This incident took place to disturb law and order.

Spokesperson Lady Reading Hospital Mohammad Asim said that four injured people from Varsik Road blast have been shifted to LRH, three injured children are between seven to ten years old but none of the injured are in school uniform but passersby.

According to the hospital spokesperson, the condition of the injured children is critical, all the injured are being given immediate medical assistance.
