The influencer Daneidy Barrera Rojas, better known as Epa Colombia, was involved in a new scandal that relates her to alleged money laundering through the money she collects with her social networks and her beauty products.
This time the questions regarding the legality of her business came from an old friend of hers: the also instagramer Yoli Álvarez, better known as the “Colombian Barbie”.
Through his social networks, Álvarez said that “he did not know the subject very well” but that he was sure that the “Epa Colombia” did launder goods through its multiple money entries.
Although she refused to explain how she did it, she stated that “from what I experienced, from what I witnessed and from what I heard during the time I was with her, I can say that she does launder money.”
The response of “Hey”
But the controversy went far beyond those statements that already reach more than 3 million views on different platforms.
According to Álvarez hours later, Daneidy Barrera’s team would have offered him 6 million pesos in exchange for changing his version of the alleged money laundering.
In an audio that “the Colombian barbie” published, a man – who would be the head of Epa’s social networks – is heard telling him that he is willing to consign him now if he says that he did not understand the subject well and that “Epa Colombia” was innocent of everything he had already said.
Despite that, the influencer refused to retract because, according to her, “everything I said and am saying is true.”
For her part, Daneidy Barrera posted a video on her keratin account saying that “hair is washed here, but not silver.”
The Epa Colombia has been in multiple controversies for alleged quality problems with its hair products. On previous occasions, other influencers have also accused her of carrying out illegal activities and having her social networks as a façade.
EL COLOMBIANO consulted with the Prosecutor’s Office if Barrera has open processes for this or other crimes. Despite that, the accusing entity assured that this information is reserved.
