While the end of petrol and diesel engines, by 2035, was voted by the European Parliament this week, a 29-year-old entrepreneur has decided to launch “NamX”, his own car brand which will market premium vehicles running on gasoline. ‘hydrogen. The first cars will be delivered at the end of 2025.
Timely hydrogen vehicles. Whereas the European Parliament has voted in favor of the end of internal combustion vehicles by 2035, Faouzi Annajah, a 29-year-old entrepreneur, took the bull by the horns by creating his own car brand. NamX is therefore a future manufacturer of cars that run onhydrogen.
At the age of 22, Faouzi Annajah had already created his first company in IT, but was quickly overtaken by his passion for cars. So in 2017, he launched himself and started from scratch. “I said to myself ‘what if we created a different car brand with a new vision of things’. It all started with a Word document where I had written ‘ultimate project’ and five years later here is where we are”, retraces- he at the microphone of Europe 1.
Unprecedented technology
This project will therefore be NamX, the future manufacturer of premium hydrogen cars, equipped with a new technology: the classic fuel cell will be supplemented by six removable capsules, all of which will allow it to be driven for 800 km. “The fear of all customers of new clean cars is to have no more energy. There, we will have the same freedom that the thermal grants but without the inconvenience of pollution. It is a world first , it’s true, we’ve never had this type of technology in a vehicle,” says Faouzi Annajah.
At the heart of this project, the link between Europe and Africa. Indeed, the manufacturing should be done partly in Morocco. NamX will also work with French, German or Italian equipment manufacturers, including Pininfarina, a famous designer for Ferrari. The countdown has started and the first cars will be delivered at the end of 2025.
