An Emirati court punishes two “drivers” who caused the death of two Saudis in Dubai…and discloses the required blood money

Al-Marsad Newspaper: An Emirati court has punished drivers by paying 400,000 dirhams as blood money to the families of two Saudi women who died in a traffic accident, while 4 others from the same family were injured.

The court decided to suspend the Bangladeshi driver’s license for a period of 3 months, fined him 10 thousand dirhams, and paid 320 thousand dirhams as blood money to the victims’ families, while the Indian driver was fined 2000 dirhams and paid 80 thousand dirhams in blood money.

In the details, the report of the Bangladeshi “The Business Standard” newspaper revealed that the two people who caused the accident, one a Bangladeshi and the other an Indian in their forties, were driving their car recklessly.

She indicated that the Bangladeshi driver stopped his car in the middle of a main road and began to reverse, and the Indian driver, who was in another car, might not see the car, and collided with it, following which the two cars collided with a third car with a Saudi family inside.
