An Egyptian expert reveals the reason why Israel has not invaded Rafah yet

Egypt – The former head of the Egyptian Reconnaissance Service, Major General Nasr Salem, explained that Israel’s presence at the Rafah crossing is illegal and the organization of its work is subject to an agreement between 3 parties: Egypt, Palestine, and the European Union.

He noted, during a telephone interview on a program on the CBC channel, that “Egypt is ready and its forces are at the highest levels of preparedness and possess full military capabilities greater than those of the enemy,” stressing that Egypt’s national security is protected by the deterrence strategy, and the enemy knows what Egypt has of the capabilities to defend it. “Her land.”

He explained that “Israel has taken the irreversible decision to invade Rafah, and what hinders them in this matter is their lack of knowledge of the locations of the hostages and how to extract them and retrieve them in a military manner, in addition to their concern about the resistance they will face if they enter.”

Major General Staff Nasr Salem concluded: “Israel is not yet able to determine the locations of the hostages, and this is what is holding the Zionist entity back.”

At the same time, Palestinian reports were received about the closure of the Rafah crossing from the Egyptian side using barricade batons. The Palestinian Telecommunications Company also announced a short while ago about “service malfunctions” in the Gaza area, without further details.

On Sunday, the “Al-Qassam Brigades” announced the bombing of the “Karam Shalom” military site of the Israeli army with 114 mm rockets, killing 4 soldiers and wounding 10 others.
