The Sonos Ray is a compromise soundbar. Its only frontal distribution allows it to be installed anywhere, even in a piece of furniture. In return, it ignores sound immersion and Atmos virtualization. However, it offers sufficient sound openness, returns clear and precise dialogues and a very correct bass in medium-sized rooms.
The Ray is also a connected speaker providing access to all networked music via the ultra-complete Sonos application, with sound qualities identical to those of a speaker of equivalent price. It must therefore be seen as a dual-purpose product which will be advantageously used as such: sometimes to accompany the TV, sometimes to listen to music.
