This Monday, an employee of the EdERSA company was carrying out public security tasks when was attacked by two men in the area of El Arroyón, near Lake Pellegrini. The company issued a statement in which they described and regretted the fact.
As they explained, the operator was regarding to cut an irregular connection to the power line when he was beaten by the residents of the house.
«The attacks, verbal and later physical, suffered by the personnel hired by EdERSA in El Arroyón occurred following detecting a direct connection in a house, which represents not only a situation of energy theft, also a huge risk to the safety of people“They assured from the company.
The commercial manager of EdERSA, Fernando Salice described the event, “the operator was working when two men appeared, whoThey said they were father and son, who first rebuked him and later hit him several timeseven in front of police personnel”.
Salice explained that people who manipulate electrical installations not only put their lives at risk, but also that of their neighbors, “also affecting the service of those who comply with the payment of the service”, and assured that “this work that we carry out is essential to have a safe, quality and predictable service”.
The commercial manager informed of other illegal connections that have been registered in the last time. «A few days ago we found a General Roca supermarket that was carrying out fraud, and a few hours ago we detected the same thing in a large fruit and vegetable warehouse in Cipolletti. They will receive heavy fines,” confirmed Salice.
