According to information from Gazet van Antwerpen, the incident took place in the vicinity of Deken De Winterstraat, where three attacks have already been committed. An investigation is underway to determine what the five men arrested were plotting.
On Tuesday morning, four other Dutch people were arrested during a police check in Borgerhout, another Antwerp district. Law enforcement discovered a firearm and ammunition in their vehicle, as well as material that might potentially be used to make incendiary bombs.
