The Jeddah Astronomical Society revealed the monitoring of the conjunction of the increasing humpback moon with Jupiter, the giant of the solar system in the sky of Saudi Arabia and the Arab world, following sunset and the beginning of the night on Saturday on the eastern horizon.

The head of the Astronomical Society in Jeddah, Eng. Majed Al Zahirah, told Al Arabiya.net that this phenomenon can be easily seen with the naked eye if the sky is clear.

He pointed out that the appearance of the humpback moon near Jupiter is intended only on the dome of the sky, as they are not close to each other in space. The moon is only 373,689 km from Earth, while Jupiter is 594,801,134 km away, and Jupiter is the fourth brightest body.
