But an argument broke out between the thirties and the eldest daughter of his companion. She pulled out a knife and threatened the 33-year-old man. The latter died of a stab wound to the heart and lungs, relays Het Laatste Nieuws.

“It is a suspicious death of a 33-year-old man. We asked the lab and a forensic doctor to go to the scene,” said Carol Vercarre of the Hal-Vilvoorde prosecutor’s office.

Our colleagues from HLN claim that the teenager told authorities that her stepfather had grabbed the knife himself and stabbed himself.

But this version does not correspond to the findings of the medical examiner. A full autopsy will be performed on Tuesday.

In the meantime, the prosecution has requested that the 17-year-old girl, the alleged perpetrator, be placed in a closed establishment.

His 15-year-old brother, who witnessed the events, will be questioned by the police.
