An Arab presence in the Guardian list of the 100 best footballers

The Arab ranking in the list was topped by the English star Liverpool and the Egyptian national team, Mohamed Salah, and the rank 10 in the 100 classification, followed by the star of Paris Germain and the Moroccan national team, Ashraf Hakimi, in the 16th rank in the 100 classification.

The Spanish goalkeeper of Seville and the Moroccan national team, Yassin Bono, ranked third in the Arab world and 43rd in the world, followed by his colleague in the national team and the Italian Fiorentia player, Sofiane Amrabat, who ranked 49th in the list.

The Algerian star and Manchester City player, Riyad Mahrez, came fifth in the Arab world and 57th in the list, followed by Hakim Ziyech, the Moroccan and Chelsea player, who ranked 63rd in the world.

As for Azzedine Onahi, the French player of Angers, he was seventh in the Arab world and 79th in the world list.

After a poor season last year with Paris Saint-Germain, Messi topped the 2022 international list of the best soccer players, following leading his country to win the World Cup in Qatar last December.

And Messi’s path became paved for winning the Golden Ball for the eighth time in his career, in the event that Paris Saint-Germain managed to win the European Champions League.
