An ancient stone dating back to the era of Ramses II was found in Qanatir al-Khairia

Workers of one of the private companies found the work of excavating the sewage project in the village of Khalwat Al-Barada’a in the Qanater Al-Khairiya Center in the governorate of Qalyubia, on an archaeological stone with pharaonic inscriptions during excavation work in the village.

And immediately, Abdel Hamid El-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, moved to the site of finding the archaeological stone.

The governor commissioned Major General Muhammad Salem, head of the Qanater Charity Center and City, to provide the necessary equipment through the Engineering Department to provide the necessary precautions during the quarantine transfer.

The Technical Committee in Qalyubia Antiquities confirmed that the stone contains several inscriptions inscribed with deep engraving in the ancient Egyptian language, and it is likely that it dates back to the era of Ramses II.
