An alarming rise in the number of cholera cases!

MP Abdel Rahman Al-Bizri revealed that the number of cholera cases in Lebanon has risen to regarding fifty.

In an interview with “Voice of All Lebanon”, he announced that “a meeting will be held today, Monday, to monitor the new cases, explaining that these cases are not limited to Syrian refugees only, but also affect Lebanese.”

Al-Bizri reassured, “There is no fear of transmission of infection through roofs, stressing the necessity of securing usable water and maintaining infrastructure to prevent the spread of the epidemic and reach the stage of danger.”

He feared “the acceleration of the epidemic, especially in schools, especially official ones, with the absence of sufficient quantities of sterilizers, calling on parents to educate their children and avoid sharing food.”

Regarding vaccines, Al-Bizri explained that “their production does not meet the needs of the market, and that the Lebanese government is seeking to obtain them in the event the epidemic spreads.”
