Audio specialist Sennheiser has just announced its new microphone, the Profile USB. A model that is intended to be affordable in the range of the German manufacturer, and which is aimed at streamers and content creators.

Two versions to choose from
In terms of ergonomics, the Sennheiser Profile USB is available in two versions: one with a table leg and another with an articulated arm. The table stand has an adjustable tilt and a self-locking joint to facilitate the positioning of the microphone during recordings. The articulated arm includes an integrated cable management system, which helps keep the workspace tidy. The microphone is easy to use since you just need to connect it with the included USB-C cable to a computer or other compatible device. It does not require any specific software or drivers to work and is compatible with MacOS, iPadOS, Windows and Android. iPhones are the only major devices excluded.
Technical characteristics and prices
In terms of technical specifications, the Sennheiser Profile USB is a prepolarized condenser microphone with a cardioid polar pattern. It offers a frequency range of 20 to 20,000 Hz, with sample rates of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, and a sample resolution of 16 bits and 24 bits. The maximum sound pressure is 125 dB with minimum gain and 85 dB with maximum gain. The headphone output has a frequency range of 20 to 18,500 Hz and a minimum output impedance of 16 ohms.
Finally, the Sennheiser Profile USB is already available in two versions, with a recommended retail price of 129.90 euros for the version with the table leg and 199 euros for the pack with the articulated arm.
