The search for an 83-year-old missing woman had a tragic end. as earlier on Wednesday (18.09.2024) she was found dead, on the beach of Salamina.
The 83-year-old was found unconscious by an acquaintance, in an inaccessible rocky area of Maroudi beach in Salamina.
With the assistance of the Fire Service echelon, the woman was freed and then transported by the motorized boat “NIKOS-FLORA” S.P. 971 C’, on land.
She was then picked up by an EKAV ambulance and taken to the Salamina Health Center, where she was pronounced dead.
When she was reported missing, investigations began by a LS-EL AKT patrol boat, a private boat and a patrol vehicle.
From the 3rd Port Department of Salamina of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus which conducts the preliminary investigation, an autopsy was ordered by the Forensic Service of Piraeus.
