An 11-year-old boy was armed at school and hit his teacher with the butt, in La Plata

The increase in violence in the country’s schools is not new, but it is a constant for some years. An example of this was what happened in the last few hours at a primary school in the city of La Plata, where an 11-year-old boy filmed himself while bringing a revolver to school and threatening his teacher with it. The fact generated the repudiation of the parents of the institution.

However, according to what witnesses to the episode reported, the child did not stop at the threats, but even, He even hit the teacher with his gun butt and exhibited it to other classmatesboth in the classroom and in the schoolyard.

In the images released, it can be seen how the minor boasted, in a threatening tone towards the rest of those present, to be “re mafia” and repeatedly hits the revolver with other objects, with the intention of demonstrating that it was real.

The incident was denounced by the parents of the establishment, who they found out what happened through their children and they demanded explanations from the directors of the school, located at the intersection of 28 and 62 in the Buenos Aires capital.

In dialogue with local media, some parents of students assured that despite having entered the school with a weapon, with which he hit a teacher with the butt, the school authorities they only talked to the boy and his parents, and finally sent him back to the classroom, before the terrified gaze of his companions.


Fathers and mothers demand urgent measures


Through statements and interviews with the press, the educational community of the institution demanded explanations from the directors of the school, called for urgent actionand assured that the event might have been a tragedy for the teachers and students present at that time.

After learning regarding what happened, fathers and mothers indicated that “From the school they didn’t notify anything” and that the only measure taken by the directors was to “talk to the boy and his parents in the followingnoon, to whom they gave a report.”

Faced with this situation, they expressed their concern, since the boy “was sent back to the classroom” and anticipated that they will demand greater preventive and security measures to avoid similar situations in the future.
