Amsterdam Unveiled: The Forgotten Femmes Who Shaped a City’s Legacy

2024-09-20 07:46:00

On the occasion of Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary, we launched the Women of Amsterdam project. Launch date is March 8, 2024, International Women’s Day. From that day on, we call on everyone to pay tribute to a woman who was (or was) important to the city of Amsterdam. The carols can be viewed on our website and will be included in the collection of the Amsterdam Museum.

These anthems form the foundation for how we provide a platform for all these women and your stories in more ways, such as:

– Podcast series (starting around September 2024)
– Exhibition (14.12.24 to 31.08.25)
– Pre-order (mid-October 2025)

Make your own carols, or view all submitted carols on our website Women of Amsterdam – an ode.
