Amsterdam issues 9 new 24-hour opening licenses. Two go to restaurants

Nine venues outside the center will receive the coveted permit: Warehouse Elementenstraat, Q-Factory and The Other Side. Two restaurant establishments have also been added to the list: Meo’s Colosseum in the West and Northside Streetfood Corner, a new concept in Noord, says the Parool.

The municipality does not fear nuisances in restaurants, because as in other places, the city wards and the police have assessed whether the 24-hour permit is suitable for that location and will be able to withdraw it if there are problems.

Doka and A’dam Toren got one more extension. In addition to club events, they also organize jazz nights and ‘spatial audio’ events, where space itself is used as an element.

Also at Q-Factory they want to use permission to offer a stage for communities and target groups that currently have little or no place in Amsterdam’s nightlife.

There are currently 15 premises with 24-hour licenses but the municipality is considering expanding the number.
