Amr Mostafa announces the end of his crisis with Umm Kulthum’s family: We don’t want problems

The Egyptian composer and artist, Amr Mostafa, announced the end of his crisis with the family of the Egyptian artist, Umm Kulthum, after he revived her voice using artificial intelligence technology, as he confirmed that he would not use anything related to the eastern planet.

And in a video clip he posted on his Instagram account, Mustafa said: “I contacted Jihan al-Dasouki, the granddaughter of Umm Kulthum, and we agreed that I would not use anything related to Planet East, nor her name or image, and if that happened, we would only resort to the family of Umm Kulthum, who is responsible for her rights.”
And he continued: “The project is still standing, but not with her image, voice, or anything related to her, because we do not want problems, and one day I will have a family and grandchildren, and I do not want this to happen to me, and I want to finish this whole story.”
This comes after Jihan El-Desouki, the granddaughter of Umm Kulthum’s sister, submitted an official communication to the Public Prosecutor against Amr Mostafa, after the latter presented a lyrical work with Umm Kulthum’s voice using artificial intelligence technology, without obtaining written permission from her heirs.
