Amoroso allegedly presented the electoral records to the TSJ

The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso, appeared this Monday, August 5th, in the evening before the electoral chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), in order to record documents related to the Electoral Dispute appeal that the ruler Nicolás Maduro filed last week.

The court had ordered the electoral body to present the minutes corresponding to the election, as well as any document related to the process. According to the state press, Amoroso had submitted the minutes of the scrutiny, the minutes of the final total, the minutes of the adjudication, the minutes of the proclamation and some alleged evidence of the cyber attack.

At the time of delivering the documents, Amoroso said: “I am coming before this highest judicial authority of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the rectors of the CNE, in compliance with the constitutional mandate issued by the TSJ. Here, as in the Secretariat, everything requested by the highest court of the Republic is recorded.”

Then, lThe president of this room, Caryslia Rodríguezread the schedule of appearances of all candidates and representatives of the political parties, which will extend until next Friday and warned that “failure to appear will entail the consequences provided for in the legal system.”

On Thursday, January 1, Judge Rodríguez declared “competent” the appeal filed the previous day by Maduro, in which he asked for clarification “everything that needs to be clarifiedr” on the elections.

Eight days before the elections, the CNE does not publicly present the results by voting center and electoral tables to audit the results and its WEB portal remains inactive.
