The Association of Tarhuna Victims announced the identification of the identities of 6 citizens from the city of Tarhuna, by analyzing the DNA fingerprints found in the mass graves in the city.

The association said that “Abdul Hamid Jaballah,” “Khaled Farhat,” and “Fawzi al-Naas” were kidnapped by the al-Kani militia between November and December of 2019, and their bodies were found in the mass graves at the “5 kilo farming” site in the city.

The association added that the citizen “Aladdin Al-Rumaih” had gone missing in May of 2019 and was transferred to the prisons of the Al-Kani militia in Tarhuna until his body was found in January of this year at the landfill site.

After that, the Association announced the identification of “Naji Al-Jabri,” a resident of the Souk Al-Khamis Amsihel area, after he was kidnapped by the Al-Kani militia in the area in April of 2020, until his body was found in a mass grave in the city of Tarhuna.

The identity of the elderly “Ahmed Emhamed”, born in 1934, was identified after his body was found in one of the mass graves at the site of Souk Al-Khamis Amsihel, who was kidnapped by the Al-Kani militia in Tarhuna in March of 2020.

The number of bodies identified by DNA by the Search and Identification of Missing Persons exceeded 200.
