After the announcement of the “Twitter Killer”, a number of top celebrities around the world joined the new application “Threads”, in a heavy blow to the platform of the American billionaire, Elon Musk.

Among them are Kim Kardashian, Shakira, Oprah Winfrey, Kourtney Kardashian, Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, and others among the more than one million people who have joined the Twitter competitor.
Celebrities have already gained tens of thousands of followers shortly following creating their accounts on the new app, which Mark Zuckerberg dubbed the “Twitter killer”.

Jack Harlow, Zayn Malik, Gordon Ramsay, Karlie Kloss, William Payne, Ellie Goulding, and the Dalai Lama also registered on the app, according to The News.

More than 10 million subscribers
And Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of the company, announced yesterday, Thursday, that more than 10 million people had registered their names on the “Threads” site, within the first few hours of its launch.

The app went live on Apple and Android app stores in 100 countries at 2300 GMT on Wednesday, and will run ad-free for now, but its release in Europe has been delayed due to data privacy concerns.
The app is the biggest challenge yet for Elon Musk’s Twitter, which has seen a string of potential rivals emerge but has yet to replace one of the world’s largest social media platforms, despite its struggles.
