Among the missing is the chairman of Morgan Stanley International

The head of the civil protection agency in Sicily said Bloomer and Chris Morvillo, a lawyer at Clifford Chance, were among the six missing.

Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah, were also missing as of late Monday 8/19.

The update came as it emerged that Lynch’s co-defendant in a US lawsuit related to the sale of his software company to Hewlett-Packard had died after being hit by a car in England.

The British-flagged Bayesian, a 56-metre sailing vessel, was carrying 22 people and was moored just off the coast near the port of Porticello when it was hit by a tornado in the early hours of Monday, the Italian coastguard said in a statement.

A man, who was the ship’s chef, has been confirmed dead. The coastguard said the missing people had British, American and Canadian citizenship.

Fifteen people were rescued, including Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, who owns the boat, and a one-year-old girl who was rescued by her mother.

It is noted that the investigations started again at dawn. Cave divers from other regions are expected to approach the wreck at the bottom.
