Amnesty International reports shelling of Afghan refugees at borders – Afghanistan

Kabul/Tehran/Ankara – Afghans attempting to cross the border with Iran or Turkey are reportedly consistently detained, mistreated and pushed back. A new report by the NGO Amnesty International now documents how Iranian and Turkish security forces are even shooting at refugees with live ammunition. Dozens of people have already been injured and killed by the shelling.
