AMLO acknowledges that he replaced Sánchez Cordero in Segob due to “discrepancies” with other actors

President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador assured that Olga Sanchez Corderosenator and former secretary of GovernorateI had discrepancies with others actors of politics, so he decided to replace her in the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) by Adam Augusto Lopez Hernandezthen governor of Tabasco.

The above was told by the Mexican president in the morning conference held in National Palacewhere he stated that Sanchez Lamb is a professional, but she had discrepancies with several actors, including Julio Scherer Ibarraformer legal adviser to the Presidency of the Republicalso outside the Government of the 4-T.

“There was not a good relationship with the Secretary of the Interior and I needed her help to deal with political matters, with relations with governors, even with the Judiciary, with the Prosecutor’s Office, with matters of State such as Ayotzinapa, or the amparos, and we need relations in the basics when the general interest is involved with the Judiciary”, he said.

Ms. Sánchez Cordero is a very good person, a professional, but there were discrepancies and I I need to have someone who helps me completely and who dedicates himself, in harmony, with the Legal Department to attend to problems”, he explained.

Last august 26, Olga Sanchez Cordero resigned as head of Segob to return to his old seat in the Senatewhere she is currently the president of the Board of Directors.

Sanchez Lamb74 years old and former magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nationwas one of the most important figures in the cabinet of Lopez Obrador and assumed the position in the Interior as soon as the Executive mandate began, in December 2018.
