Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in the state to attend the Inter-State Council of South Chief Ministers meeting. Amit Shah was given a warm welcome at Thiruvananthapuram airport. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan accepted. Amit Shah will preside over the conference tomorrow at 10.30 am at Ravis Hotel, Kovalam. BJP workers welcomed Amit Shah on his arrival at Thiruvananthapuram airport. He will also participate in the Scheduled Castes meeting to be held at Kazhakoottam at 3 pm. Then return to Delhi in the evening. The state government had invited him to participate in the Nehru Trophy boat race the next day, but he will not participate.
