A surprising development in the case of the imprisonment of the person accused of murdering the Devavasha family – Amiram Ben Oliel: according to the report of the journalist Amit Segal, the famous Jewish prisoner is expected to be transferred to the Torah wing of the prison, this at the end of a long struggle both on the legal and the public level.

From Segal’s report it appears that senior rabbis in the religious Zionist sector were involved in the surprising development. These are rabbis – Rabbi Yaakov Madan, Rabbi Menachem Borstein and officials on behalf of Rabbi Dov Lior, who were in contact with officials in the Jewish division of the Shin Bet.

The report also shows that the decisive consideration in the Shin Bet to allow the transfer was the humanitarian issue.

The Shin Bet, who were informed of the concessions approved by the Shin Bet, are expected to transfer Ben Oliel to the Torah wing gradually, when in the first few weeks he will be transferred to Nah on Saturdays and holidays and later, according to his adaptation, he will be transferred permanently to the Torah wing.

It should be noted that a few days ago it was reported in Ha’aretz by the reporter Michael Hauser-Tov that Prison Service Commissioner Kobi Yacovi, who previously served as the head of the office of the Minister of Nuclear Security and the chairman of Otzma Yehudit Itamar Ben Gabir, met with Amiram Ben Oliel from times in the last few months, when the visit was held in Ben Oliel’s cell.

Ben Gvir’s office denied the report and the Shin Bet completely denied the report and claimed that it was a blatant lie.

“These are lies and lies. The commissioner or the minister’s chief of staff have never visited the prisoner. Despite the repeated attempt to blackmail the commissioner of prisons, he continues, together with the senior command, to lead a revolution in all areas of activity of the organization and staff security. Regarding the health condition of this prisoner or After all, this is about personal austerity, so we cannot provide details on the matter,” the Israel Defense Forces said in response to Haaretz.
