Amid anticipation of the Israeli response, Arab and foreign countries call on their citizens to leave Lebanon immediately

Acting Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib announced on Sunday evening that a number of foreign airlines had suspended flights to Lebanon amid fears of Israeli bombing.

France, Canada, Denmark, Norway, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Australia have asked their citizens to avoid travel to Lebanon, and those already in Lebanon to leave immediately “as long as possible.”

Media outlets reported that the United States asked the Lebanese state to “limit the response of Lebanese factions to any Israeli attack.”

Lebanon’s Middle East Airlines announced the postponement of several flights to the capital Beirut from the evening of July 28 to the morning of July 29 amid a possible Israeli retaliatory strike on Lebanon after Saturday’s attack on the Golan.

Israeli media reported on Sunday evening that the Israeli cabinet meeting ended after 3 hours, during which the incident in the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights was discussed, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant were authorized to make decisions regarding the Israeli response in Lebanon.

Earlier on Sunday, Israeli Channel 13 suggested three scenarios for a possible Israeli response to “the Lebanese factions’ bombing of the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan.”

Twelve people were killed and about 30 others were injured, some of them seriously, yesterday, Saturday, as a result of a rocket shell falling on the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan, according to initial reports issued by medical teams.

An informed source in the Lebanese factions confirmed on Saturday that the organization had nothing to do with the bombing that targeted Majdal Shams in the occupied Golan Heights, and denied their responsibility for the incident.
