America’s latest F-35 fighter plane is missing, appeal to the public to find it

The latest American F-35 fighter plane has gone missing after taking off from the air base in North Carlton, South Carolina, and the US military has appealed to the public to help find the plane. The pilot of the plane ejected his seat and landed safely.

According to US Marine Corps officials stationed at Joint Base Carlston, the pilot was taken to a local hospital in stable condition after landing safely by parachute.

According to the pilot, after learning of the aircraft’s malfunction, he switched it to autopilot before ejecting his seat. Officials did not release the identity of the pilot. Based on the location and speed of the missing aircraft, a search for the F-35 Lightning II jet is underway in Moultrie and Marion lakes north of Carlston, Senior Master Sergeant Heather Stanton said.

According to the report, two F-35 planes had taken off from the joint base, but the pilot of one plane has returned to the base with his plane. Both aircraft belong to Marine Attack Training Squadron 501.

According to the report, Congresswoman Nancy Mays from South Carolina has said that how the F-35 could go missing so easily if it does not have a tracking device. He also criticized the army’s appeal to the public for help in searching for the plane.
