American tuners introduced the 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 restomod

The American company Legacy Overland restored the frame SUVToyota Land CruiserFJ40 of 1971. The car has retained the iconic design, but has received a new filling and modern functions.

This FJ40 looks authentic. The rare car was disassembled to a screw and completely repainted in gray. The Warn M8000 winch appeared on the front. The car received new black wheels and BFGoodrich tires.

The cabin also retains the spirit of the original Land Cruiser, but there are enough new details. A tubular safety frame has been installed. The seats and steering wheel are newly covered with leather. The Americans also installed a modern audio system and air conditioning.

The engine was also replaced: the Toyota-2F 6-cylinder petrol engine gave way to a 5.7-liter V8 produced by General Motors. Tuners did not specify its power. The 4-speed “mechanics” remained in place, a knob appeared on the gearshift lever in the form of a ball of eight from billiards. Disc brakes are installed.

Legacy Overland has already prepared the FJ40 Land Cruiser for sale. The price is not specified.

Recall that the Land Cruiser 40-series was produced from 1960 to 1984.
