American support for the Oil Corporation, and Bin Qadara urges American companies to return

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat Ben Gudara, urged the return of American companies to work in the Libyan oil and gas sector.

This came during a meeting, Friday, March 10, in the US capital, Washington, with US Assistant Secretary of State Geoffrey Pyatt.

For his part, the US Assistant Secretary of State expressed their support for NOC and its board of directors to implement its strategy to build capacity and raise oil and gas production, according to NOC.

In another meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat bin Qadara, stressed the need for American companies to return to work again in the oil and gas sector in Libya.

This came during his meeting with US Deputy Secretary of Energy David Turk on the sidelines of the CERAWEEk conference.

For his part, the US Deputy Secretary of Energy praised the increase in oil production and its stability under the new management of the National Oil Corporation, according to the corporation.

The Director of the North Africa Department at the US State Department, Victoria Taylor, also expressed her support for the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation in its efforts, which contributed to raising oil and gas production rates, developing oil industries and improving the environment, according to the Corporation.

She also affirmed her country’s support for the National Oil Corporation to implement its strategic plans to increase production and build capacities, according to what the corporation reported.

The series of these meetings with the US government comes after the wide participation of the National Oil Corporation delegation, headed by Bin Qadara, in the CeraWeek conference, which is considered the most important annual event for international oil, gas and energy companies and institutions.
