American singer Britney Spears was attacked for asking to take a picture with Victor Mbanyama, the famous basketball player.

The incident began when Britney Spears went with her husband, Sam Asghari, and two of her companions to a Las Vegas restaurant, and there she glimpsed the basketball player, of whom she is a fan.

Britney Spears approached Victor Mbanyama, who was standing in front of her in the restaurant, and patted his shoulder and then his arm, to draw his attention and ask to take the picture, but his accompanying guard rushed and slapped her hand, to fall to the ground, and shattered her glasses.

The singer returned to her table, and the guard went to apologize to her, stressing that he was doing his job to protect the player, and he did not notice that she was Britney Spears before his behavior, according to TMZ.

Britney Spears accepted the guard’s apology, but her security team asked to meet with him, and a lengthy discussion took place between them, before filing a police report for assault.

Security sources revealed that the guard is Damian Smith, director of the security team for the Spurs basketball team, for whom Vitkor Mbaniyama plays, and investigations began in the communication without any suspicion of criminality, following he assured the officers that he did not intend to harm Britney Spears as much as defending the player.

Surveillance cameras showed that Damian Smith slapped Britney Spears’ hand, which hit her face, causing her to fall.

And Smith’s position in the case changed, following the Las Vegas police met with Britney Spears and listened to her statements, as the matter turned into a criminal investigation that was proceeding very seriously, and that the case would reach the Public Prosecutor’s Office, but without any accusation once morest Damian Smith.
