An American man listed in the Guinness World Records by eating a ‘Big Mac’ every day except for 8 days for 50 years is a hot topic.

According to the Guinness World Records official website and foreign media on the 22nd, Don Gorsky, a 68-year-old man living in Wisconsin, USA, set the record for eating an average of two Big Macs a day for 50 years on the 17th.

Gosky started eating Big Macs in 1972 when he was 10 years old, and in 1999 he ate 15,490 Big Macs, making it the first Guinness World Record. Even following that, he did not stop loving his Big Mac, breaking his own record with a total of 323.5 million copies last year and 32,943 copies this year.

He collected containers, wrappers, and receipts by year, and there were only eight days he didn’t eat a Big Mac in 50 years.

Gosky said to his father, “I will only eat Big Macs for the rest of my life,” and “who knew that it would become a reality.”

He continued, “The Big Mac, with its double layer of beef patty, combined with cheese and special sauce, is a great meal for one meal.

Gosky ate nine Big Macs a day when he was very appetizing, and now he’s older, he usually eats two a day. Still, he said he had no health problems at all.

In an interview with Guinness at the time in 2021, Gosky said, “When I eat a Big Mac, I don’t eat french fries, I only eat hamburgers and walk 10 km every day. Thanks to this, I was able to maintain normal blood sugar and cholesterol levels.”
