Katy Perry (37) is known for her crazy costumes. At the start of her tour at the beginning of the year, the singer appeared in a beer can bra, on Halloween as an oversized anti-coronavirus injection.
For the Disney special of the US talent show “American Idol”, Perry has come up with something once more: disguised as a mermaid, she sat next to Lionel Richie (72) and Luke Bryan (45) on her jury chair.
She didn’t stay there for long. The costume had some pitfalls, so Perry fell backwards off the chair in front of the camera. Moderator Ryan Seacrest (47) immediately rushed to help. When it became clear that the singer was doing well, the glitch in the studio was taken with humor.
So she was squeezed into the costume
Pictures on Instagram show how complex the preparations were. Four employees had to help the singer to squeeze into the Ariel costume.
Since the five-time “American Music Award” winner wore only one fin from that moment on, she was carried around for the rest of the evening or transported from A to B in a wheelbarrow. (fmu)
