“America needs a superhero”. Donald Trump is preparing a big announcement for Thursday, according to one of his most recent posts on the Truth Social network, all draped in a physique to please Henry Cavill, the DC Comics Superman.

Accompanying his message is a 15-second video that begins with Trump looking into a camera and saying, “America needs a superhero.”
The video then shows a cartoon image of Trump made to look like Superman.
In the video, Trump stands in front of Trump Tower as he removes his suit jacket and shirt to reveal a red uniform that has a “T” for Trump instead of the “S” for Superman.
Laser beams then appear to shoot from his eyes as triumphant music plays in the background.

This kind of representation can refer to the various memes that paint Joe Biden as “Dark Brandon”, a sort of superheroic version of the American president.
“Dark Brandon” is a way for Democrats to reduce the effects of the “Let’s Go Brandon” insult, ie. “F…Joe Biden”.
The video then rotates to a black screen on which appears the text “MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT” and the date of Thursday, December 15.
Trump did not elaborate in his message what his announcement entails. American media like Newsweek attempted to contact Trump’s office for comment, with no response at this time.
This release comes at a pivotal time for Trump. This one is threatened with a criminal referral by the committee investigating the January 6, 2021 Capitol assault, is blamed for Republican failures in the midterm elections, sees Fox News abandon him and Ron DeSantis hounding him more and more in the polls.
