AMD showed the next generation Radeon RX graphics card on RDNA 3 – it will be released before the end of 2022

AMD as part of today’s event dedicated to the announcement of processors Ryzen 7000 series, also shared a few details regarding their next generation graphics cards and even showed a glimpse of one of them. The company also demonstrated the work of RDNA 3 graphics, and also outlined the timing of its release.

AMD CEO Lisa Su announced that RDNA 3 GPUs will consist of multiple chips (chiplets) made using the 5nm process technology. Obviously, TSMC will release them. The glimpsed video card is very large, and in appearance, it looks like we will see the development of the design of the reference video cards Radeon RX 6000 series – the continuity is immediately noticeable.

It was also indicated that the new generation of graphics will provide 50% higher performance per watt compared to current AMD solutions (Radeon RX 6000 on RDNA 2). During the presentation, Lisa Su also confirmed that the next generation of Radeon graphics is currently being tested in AMD labs. And its performance is “amazing”.

The graphics capabilities were demonstrated in the game Lies Of P, which is currently being prepared by Neowiz Games and will be released in 2023. AMD did not show FPS or any other data regarding the performance of the video card. It was only noted that the accelerator worked in tandem with the new flagship – Ryzen 9 7950X.

Finally, the head of AMD promised that the release of new generation video cards will take place before the end of this year. More specific dates were not named.
