Drawing a parallel with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which was the first to try on 3D V-Cache memory, Lisa Su began her story with the younger Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which will offer 8 cores and 16 threads, frequencies up to 5.0 GHz and a total of 104 MB cache. The line will be crowned with a 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X3D with an operating frequency range from 4.2 to 5.7 GHz and 144 MB of cache, and between them there will be a Ryzen 9 7900X3D with 12 cores and 140 MB of cache. Its operating frequency range will be from 4.4 to 5.6 GHz. All three processors will have a TDP level of no more than 120 watts.

Using the Ryzen 7 7800X3D as an example, it was shown that it outperforms its predecessor (Ryzen 7 5800X3D) in games with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels by an average of 15%, but the maximum performance gap reaches 25%. A piece of gameplay was shown Star Wars Jedi: Survivorthe company will apply a coupon for this game to the Ryzen 7000 family of processors from January, its debut is scheduled for March 17 this year.

Unlike last year’s event and others like it, real samples of new processors did not appear on the stage in the hands of the head of AMD. Everything was limited to presentation slides. An exception was made only for a sample of the Instinct MI300 computing accelerator with 146 billion transistors, which contains several dissimilar crystals. In addition, at the beginning of the event, Lisa Su demonstrated the Ryzen 7040 series mobile processor from the stage.

The trailer for three models with 3D V-Cache memory as part of the presentation went Ryzen 9 7900 (12 cores, 5.4 GHz), Ryzen 7 7700 (8 cores, 5.3 GHz) and Ryzen 5 7600 (6 cores, 5.1 GHz) with a TDP level of 65W or less. If the cost of new products of the Ryzen 7000X3D series has not been announced, then the three listed processors with a TDP level of no more than 65 W will receive price tags of $429, $329 and $229, respectively. They will go on sale on January 10th.

The company calls the Ryzen 7000X3D series processors presented at CES 2023 the world’s fastest gaming processors. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D, in particular, held its own once morest the Intel Core i9-13900K gaming suite and was up to 24% faster at 1920×1080. The conciseness of the description of new products allows us to count on a more detailed presentation a little later. An extended range of Socket AM5 motherboards will be launched this quarter at attractive prices.
