AMD Canceling RDNA3 Refresh… Confirmation of Applicability of 3D V-Cache

Interesting news has recently been reported regarding the AMD RDNA3 graphics card, the RX 7000 XT series.

The news was confirmed by semiconductor engineer Tom Wassick, and the AMD RX 7900 XT model found a connection point that can apply the 3D V-Cache applied to the AMD CPU.

Accordingly, it is analyzed that models with improved performance can be released by adding an additional L3 cache in addition to the Infinity cache applied to the existing RX 7900 XTX and XT models.

However, since the possibility of performance improvement through 3D V-Cache along with the actual MCM structure cannot be judged hastily, there is room for release, but the possibility for actual release is unknown.

On the other hand, there have been rumors that the RDNA 3 graphics card will be refreshed.
