Ambly-sighted cat has a happy ending, the cat owner decides to suspend immigration to stay in Hong Kong to accompany the cat to die

[Animal News]The ambly-sighted cat “Xiao Ming”, who was unable to move to Thailand with his owner due to natural physical problems, has a happy ending. The cat owner who originally wanted to find Xiao Ming to adopt, finally decided to ask his family to go to Thailand first, and he would stay in Hong Kong to accompany Xiao Ming until he died, and then moved to Thailand. The “Claw House” volunteers quoted the cat owner as saying that following careful consideration, he was not at ease to keep Xiao Ming, worried that he might become a stray cat one day, or even encounter an accident, so he decided to continue to accompany Xiao Ming, “I will help him make chips, this You will always follow me.”

Xiao Ming is an amblyopic cat with a congenital genetic problem. He has amblyopia, abnormally small eyes, and also has genetic problems such as a narrow nasal canal and an enlarged heart. In addition to genetic problems, his life has many twists and turns. He was originally a community cat living on the streets of Beijing, and was rescued and adopted by the first owner on the street. However, the owner unfortunately passed away in 2019, and Xiao Ming was brought back to Hong Kong by the owner’s friend to take care of him. However, during the flight from Beijing to Hong Kong, Xiao Ming had a “popping nose” due to a problem with the nasal tube, and it was easy to have nasal congestion and runny nose followingwards.

After Xiaoming came to live in Hong Kong, he gradually got used to it. The current owner will move to Thailand with his family in August. However, Xiaoming’s nasal tube is too narrow, and the veterinarian also said that he is not suitable for flying. The owner originally decided to take the other cats with him. Zuo Xiaoming felt heartbroken, so he sought help from the volunteers of “Claw House”, hoping to help Xiaoming find adoption and lead a new family life. This newspaper also reported on Xiao Ming’s situation a few days ago, and was looking for adoption urgently.

However, following several days of deliberation, the owner decided to withdraw his decision to seek adoption for Xiao Ming, and he would suspend his travel to Thailand and stay in Hong Kong to take care of Xiao Ming until the end of his life. The volunteers of the “Claw House” told this newspaper that the owner recently saw that an animal was run over to death on the road by a car, and the news that the animal died peacefully by the wave to see off made him even more worried regarding leaving Xiao Ming in Hong Kong. The volunteer said: “He was very surprised that Xiao Ming would become a wanderer in the future, so he decided to stay with Xiao Ming.”

Volunteers said that the host would ask his family to go to Thailand first, and he would wait until Xiao Ming died before leaving. The owner also said that he would implant a chip for Xiao Ming, describing “this boy will always follow me.”
