During Amber Heard’s second day of testimony in her defamation lawsuit once morest Johnny Depp, the actress recounted scenes of physical and sexual abuse. The Aquaman star notably accused her ex-husband of beating her because of James Franco.

Amber Heard claimed in court on Thursday (5 May 22) that her ex-husband Johnny Depp kicked her in the back because he believed she was having an affair with James Franco.
The former couple are in the midst of a libel suit over an op-ed the actress wrote in 2018 in which she claimed to be a “public figure representing domestic violence”. The interpreter of Jack Sparrow maintains that the article falsely accused him of being abusive and subsequently caused him to lose several financial opportunities.
“He hated, hated James Franco”
On the Aquaman star’s second day of testimony, he says Johnny Depp kicked him on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles in 2014 because he ‘hated’ the idea that she is working with James Franco on Beyond Lies. “He was angry with me for accepting the role with James Franco,” she explained. She claimed that he was drunk and high on drugs during the flight, that he threw objects at her and insulted her before slapping her in the face in front of the crew and their employees. The actress adds that it was the first time he had done it “in front of someone”.
“I walk away from him, I turn my back on him and I feel that boot on my back. He kicked me in the back. I fell to the ground, I found myself on the ground, she continued. Nobody said anything. Nobody did anything. It’s like you can hear a pin drop in that plane. »
Rape with a bottle of alcohol
Amber Heard also contradicted her ex’s version of events surrounding a March 2015 incident in Australia in which the actor ended up with his finger severed. The Pirates of the Caribbean star claimed his ex-wife threw a glass bottle at him, but she testified that she threw it on the ground. The 36-year-old actress said she did not witness her ex-husband’s finger injury as he was sedated. She claimed the incident happened following an argument in which Johnny Depp accused her of having sex with co-stars Billy Bob Thornton and Eddie Redmayne, allegations she denies.
Amber Heard then described a very violent scene, accusing Johnny Depp of having raped her with a glass bottle of alcohol. “I’m once morest the wall and he’s screaming at me that he hates me, that I ruined his life (…) He said to me, ‘Fuck, I’m going to kill you'”, she said in tears, before describing that he had pushed the glass bottle into her vagina. “All I felt was this pain,” she added, explaining that she remained still, unsure if he was using the previously broken bottle or another.
It would then be that, according to her, the actor would have injured his finger, when she had taken “two sleeping pills” and had fallen asleep.
According to the actress, following the injury, Johnny Depp used his bloody finger to write all over the mansion they were staying in. “It was clear he was crazy. He wrote on the back of a pillow with blood. He wrote on the walls on the way down,” she said.
The trial was suspended following this hearing and will resume the third week of May with cross-examination of Amber Heard by Johnny Depp’s lawyers.
