Her husband, the French ambassador to Austria, had to cancel at short notice due to illness, but the ambassador’s wife, Anne-Christine Pécout-Kuri, insisted on coming to Linz on Thursday evening for the festival of the Amitié France-Autriche language association. The occasion for the party in Café Frédéric on the main square was the 75th anniversary of the association.
Almost 100 people accepted the invitation from Amitié President Nathalie Pelé and her team, including Ekkehard Redlhammer, French Honorary Consul in Upper Austria, Linz Municipal Councilor Anna Weghuber and Christiane Zojer, President of Société France-Autriche Wels.
Laura Hurot and Mario Keszner paid homage to the association in words and pictures, the duo “À la Francaise” entertained with chansons, successful French high school graduates from various schools were honored and Honorary President Sylvia Kiehne received an award from the ambassador’s wife Certificate of honor for 45 years of membership in the association.
