Russia – The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a meeting with ambassadors of countries in Moscow, in order to make a presentation on the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, at the Ministry’s headquarters, in which more than 50 heads of diplomatic missions participated.
Director of the Economic Cooperation Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Dmitry Bereshevsky, said in a statement today, Saturday, that “in accordance with established traditions, we met to talk in detail regarding the next major event in our economic and international life, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.”
He stressed that this forum is one of the most important events of the year in economic life, and the northern capital will host it for the twenty-seventh time.
In the same context, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of the RosCongress Foundation, Alexander Stogilev, stressed the importance of the forum in developing economic cooperation and creating new opportunities.
He said that the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum is a platform where new ideas are generated, and business, economic, political and environmental strategies are discussed.
He pointed out that the environment and planetary protection are of particular importance to this forum, as well as to politicians and businessmen.
The 27th Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held from June 5 to 8.
